Dr. David Consalvi, Ed.D.
School of Education
Dr. David Consalvi has been involved in education for over 23 years as a teacher, instructional coach, and leader. He has taught secondary science, math, STEM, and research, been a coordinator for STEAM, been a technology coordinator, and been an adjunct professor. Currently, David is the STEAM coordinator in Rock Hill School District in South Carolina, an adjunct faculty in the Education Department for Winthrop University in South Carolina, and an adjunct faculty for the College of Health and Education at Marymount University in Virginia. His undergraduate degree is in Horticulture, his master’s degree is in Educational Technology, and his doctorate is in Educational Leadership and Organizational Innovation. David’s current research interests focus on persistence in STEM for underrepresented populations, innovative technology integration in education, and the role of parents in students’ education and career choices. David’s current focus for program evaluation is on the effectiveness of educator instructional practices to support student growth, the impact of technology on educator effectiveness and student persistence in STEM, and the influence of competency-based learning.
