Dr. Joseph Provenzano
Dr. Joe Provenzano came to Marymount University in 2016 and served as Director of Teaching, Faculty Development and Instructional Design in the Center for Teaching and Learning. He is an experienced teacher, instructional designer, and educational technologist. He has over thirty years experience and has held administrative positions in universities, high schools, elementary schools, and alternative schools. The major focus of his work has been on working with faculty on the pedagogical integration of instructional technologies into their classroom practice. His university teaching experience includes ten years as an instructor in the School of Library and Information Sciences at Catholic University where he taught in the school media program. He has also been an instructor at George Mason University, University of North Dakota, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, and Marymount University. Dr. Provenzano has been an instructional design and teaching consultant for a number of institutions including the American Psychological Association, Northern Virginia Community College, George Mason University School of Engineering, and Excelsior College. Dr. Provenzano has been a member of ASCD, ATD, and POD. Currently, Dr. Provenzano serves as Marymount University’s Director of Teaching and Academic Development in the Office of Academic Affairs.
